PROTECTION

Many writers are concerned about their writings being stolen. In reality, it is highly unlikely, if not impossible. When you write a song, you automatically own it - that is the law. Someone would have to prove that they wrote your song before you did. Certainly, professionals in the music industry would not steal from another writer and would not tolerate anyone who did. They understand that everyone must work together to deliver the best music they can to audiences.

When you submit Song Words or a Song to Shining Star Music, it is a record of you being the writer on that date. All letters, e-mails, and contracts that you receive from Shining Star Music are also proof of your ownership. If you choose to have Shining Star Music record your song, it is additionally protected because a song is considered secure as soon as it is Recorded by a Professional Song Production Company such as Shining Star Music. We will always seek to protect writers from plagiarism.

WHAT SHOULD I WATCH OUT FOR?

Companies that promise more than they deliver. For example, if someone guarantees you a song release and royalties if you pay them money. In actuality, no one can accurately predict the success of a song, especially if it has not yet been completely written and recorded. At Shining Star Records we say what we do and do what we say.
